We start bottle-feeding the kids when they are three days old. They are fed three times a day until they are a month old, then two times a day for a month, then just once a day for the third month. During this time, they have access to fresh water, goat feed and hay. At the end of the third month they lose interest in milk and are officially weaned. If you are interested in bottle-feeding, you can take the babies at any age. They are drinking replacer (formula) which is easily obtained at any feed store. It's a joy to bottle-feed these sweeties, however, if you prefer to wait until they are weaned, you can purchase them now and pick them up when they're three months old. Here are this spring's kids! |
